Wander along Komachi Street and pay a visit to the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine - one of the famed symbols of Kamakura. From there, head north to the Kitakamakura area, where Meigetsuin Temple is located. If you are visiting around rainy season, you may be lucky enough to see the temple flourish with blue hydrangeas. If you walk south along the Dankazura path, you will soon hear the sound of waves before arriving at Yuhigahama Beach. The eastern area of Kamakura is full of historical sites, including Hokoku-ji Temple with its incredible bamboo grove. To the west is the iconic Great Buddha of Hase, which can be reached via the Enoshima Electric Railway, Enoden (江ノ電).

Upon entering your room, take time to switch off surrounded by calming blue hues until it is time to eat. If you arrive in time for sunset, we recommend visiting the roof terrace on the fourth floor, where you can watch the colorful display as the sun melts into the Shonan Sea.

There is nothing like waking up to the sunshine sparkling on the sea. If you are up early, we recommend heading down to the beach for a calming stroll before breakfast. If you are an especially early riser, the embankment at the end of the Koshigoe Fishing Port is a great place to watch the sunrise. The hotel occasionally holds a morning Yoga class on the roof terrace, so check times and dates with our team on your arrival if you are interested. Breakfast is served in Kamakura Matsubara-An AO, where you can try a traditional Japanese morning menu, including okayu (a comforting savory rice porridge) and various side dishes.

The beach in front of the hotel is a fantastic place to spend time and try water activities such as SUP (stand-up paddle boarding) and surfing. The striking Enoshima Island is just across the water and can be reached on foot. Have fun exploring the seaside town or learn about the area's rich marine life at Enoshima Aquarium.
